Ethnographic Museum of Fossalta di Portogruaro, stories from the past

I was in elementary school when I first visited the Ethnographic Museum of Fossalta di Portogruaro. The Museum of Daily Life Tools and the tools that were exposed to it remained in my mind so much that after 20 years when I came back to visit a long time ago, everything seemed to stay in exactly the same place.

The Ethnographic Museum of Fossalta di Portogruaro rises in an old art and craft school where today's life tools are preserved in the East Veneto countryside between the end of the 19th century and the first half of the twentieth century [19659004] The Ethnographic Museum of Fossalta ” width=”667″ height=”1000″ />

The richness and diversity of objects within the museum really leaves you speechless, but finding out how all the tools and furniture are recovered is even more wonderful. First and foremost, we must know that the existence of the Ethnographic Museum is related to the same name. Since 1990, a group of enthusiasts have collected private items from parents, grandparents, grandparents, grandparents and grandparents, as well as sending shipments to old farmhouses in areas that were devastated by restoring not only objects but also furniture, sometimes ceilings, bricks and wooden beams brought to the museum were gathered to create a home environment and a daily rural life.

The Museum is open to the public every Sunday from 10.00 am to midday, 12.00 pm

The museum is still enriched with objects thanks to the donations of those who want to give a sense of in the morning and in the afternoon from 4 pm to 7 pm with summer time and from 14.30 to 17.30 with standard time. The museum is open all year except in colder months (January and February): the museum structure is old and has no heating system. The exterior yard of the Ethnographic Museum is anticipating this waiting inside us: a bunch of objects, tools and tools mostly of iron and dark wood, complex, complex, one by one. Trebbies, plows and agricultural machines of all kinds. Many elements that can be distinguished only by approaching and careful observation of the Ethnographic Museum of Fossal ” width=”667″ height=”1000″ />

All this provides a tangible feeling while walking through rooms that will be catapulted in the second period, touching the atmosphere of life in the East Veneto Veneto at the beginning of the century So, for those like me, childhood memories resided in grandparents they could recognize an ancient stone sink, a hair-drier tool, barrels in which the wine was aged (and perhaps recognize the aroma of wood impregnated with wine that they attacked nose at the entrance to the cellar

Every museum visitor can identify, according to his inter age and passion, an area that will love more than others. Actually, I have two of the favorite areas in the museum: school and home.

At school you can caress old wooden tables, those with the hole where the ink bottle has its place. But besides these, there are many documents, books, old school reports, abbreviations and everything that is needed to educate the boys of that time.

Even a visit to the museum in the coldest seasons The kitchen keeps the heat the home fireplace is literally but also ideal in homes of times. "Fogolar" has been restored in the Fossal Museum from the brick of an old fireplace, which is actually taken from a ruinous house. Likewise, the spacious ceiling of the dining room comes from a house that was supposed to be demolished and the volunteers of the association were re-established here. The pots in which the polenta is mixed continue to hang where the fire is shooting, the table is set with cutlery, glasses and pots in chopped pottery. An old bowl of salad that is broken and "customized" passing a string of grooves created intentionally is a symbol of the past era in which it is broken adapted to recover, not throw and replace with a newer item like today is happening.
